Tent preservation precautions

1. In addition to cleaning up the dust and attachments in time after the tent is used, the moisture on both sides of the fabric should also be wiped off or dried, and then folded for storage after it is completely dried. This is very important. If it is not completely dried, it is easy to make the fabric mildew and adhesion problems, affecting the service life of the tent.
2, if you have to take down a wet tent, remember to try to dry it. You can temporarily leave it in your bag for a day if conditions don't permit. But if there are conditions to take it out to blow the wind and sun, or use a dryer, a hair dryer to dry, be careful not to be too close to avoid baking.
3, if mildew occurs, you can use warm soapy water and sponge to scrub it clean, and then dry with a dry sponge. Use a sponge with half a cup of Lysol and a gallon of hot water. Let the solution sit on the surface of the fabric and allow to air dry. Then, mix a cup of salt, a cup of thick lemon juice and a gallon of hot water, rub the solution into visible mold spots, and let dry. In this way, mold growth can be prevented and mold odor eliminated, but mold traces cannot be removed. Damage caused by mold is not covered by the warranty. These methods are provided only to extend the life of the tent in the event of mold.
4. After the tent is completely dry and folded for storage, try not to put other items on the tent, which will cause permanent fatigue at the bend of the waterproof tape material and produce degummy phenomenon. Personal experience is to find - cardboard boxes specifically for tent storage. When packing, put the tent on top of it as much as possible.
