After using the tent, in addition to promptly cleaning dust and attachments, you should also wipe off or dry the moisture on both sides of the fabric, and fold it for storage only after it is completely dry. This is very important. If it is not completely dry, it can easily lead to mold and adhesion issues, affecting the lifespan of the tent.
1. After using the tent, in addition to promptly cleaning off dust and attachments, you should also wipe off or dry the moisture on both sides of the fabric, and fold it for storage only after it is completely dry. This is very important. If it is not completely dry, it can easily lead to mold and adhesion issues, affecting the lifespan of the tent.
2. If you must take down a wet tent, remember to try to air it out. If conditions do not allow, you can temporarily put it in the bag for a day. However, if conditions permit, take it out to air dry in the wind and sunlight, or use a hairdryer to dry it, being careful not to get too close to avoid overheating.
3. If mold occurs, you can clean it with warm soapy water and a sponge, then dry it with a dry sponge. Use half a cup of detergent and a gallon of hot water with a sponge. Let the solution sit on the fabric surface and air dry. Then, mix one cup of salt, one cup of concentrated lemon juice, and a gallon of hot water, and rub the solution onto visible mold spots, then dry. This can prevent mold growth and eliminate mold odors, but it cannot remove mold stains. Damage caused by mold is not covered under warranty. These methods are provided only to extend the life of the tent in case of mold.
4. After the tent is completely dry and folded for storage, try not to place other items on top of the tent, as this can cause permanent fatigue at the bends of the waterproof tape material and lead to delamination. From personal experience, it is best to find a cardboard box specifically for storing the tent. When packing, try to place the tent on top.
